Habitat: Open reef and seagrass (3-30 m deep). Distribution: Caribbean, Bermuda, and Brazil. Characteristics: Massive to lobate. Bright yellow, brown, or purple externally, yellow internally. Surface has knob-shaped conules (3-4 mm high, and up to 1 cm apart). Dense like cheese. Oscules with membranes (1-2 cm wide) on top of lobes. Notes: Previously reported by Hector Guzman as Pseudoceratina crassa
