Habitat: Found on mangrove roots or between seagrass blades. Distribution: Venezuela, Panamá. Characteristics: Purplish-red spheres, in clusters or solitary (2-5 cm wide). Reproductive buds (1-2 mm in diameter) on top of hair-like projections common. Verrucose surface and volcano shaped oscules with transparent membranes (2-5 mm in diameter). Internal color orange-red. Notes: This species was identified by Dr. M. Sara as T. seychellensis (Cipriani et al. 1994) a species from the Indian Ocean. Its conspecificity with the Caribbean species is highly dubious.
