Marine Invertebrates of the San Juan Islands
Authors: Paulay, Gustav (editor)
Locality: San Juan Islands, Salish Sea, Washington State, USA
Abstract:

The marine biota in the vicinity of the Friday Harbor Laboratories is one of the best studied along the US Pacific coast. Kozloff's (1996) keys have made the invertebrate fauna especially accessible, but have not been updated in a quarter century, and provide little more than keys to species. The goal of this project is to provide a modern resource to this fauna, with updated identifications, photos, vouchers, sequence data, and eventually descriptive information. This is very much a work in progress.
