It can't be L.pectinata because in that species "the apicobasal ridge on the scuta runs very close to the occludent margin". The more central location of that ridge and the strong pectination point to it being L.anserifera rather than L.anatifera. I realise that the peduncle is not orange, but that is not a reliable identification feature. Despite Foster 1978 saying that there is no record of L.anserifera from New Zealand, I think we can safely say that it does turn up here occasionally. And on that basis I will review all my other Lepas identifications over the next week or two. Please bear with me! I'm still in learning mode with these things.

The course and find lines are seen clearly. the first 2 photos are the biggest that whas on this rock that was wahed up and 30mm long shell and 10mm long stalk. the 3rd photo the shells are 10mm long. The last photo shows the rock they were found on. I think these are all the same species @nzshells? :)
