Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum Mollusk Collection (BMNSM-BMSM)

The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum collection currently encompasses about 133,000 catalogued lots, the collection consists of a vast majority of dry specimens and a small component of fluid-preserved material. The collection is worldwide in scope, but has a strong emphasis on material from Florida and the eastern seaboard of the US, and, in particular, Southwest Florida and the adjacent Gulf Mexico waters.
